PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and inexpensively form histories of measured imbalances of engine assembles, with the phase as the reference in each engine. SOLUTION: An engine assembly for the computation of phase differences, in which a facility phase is matched with a reference phase is rotated to detect both a phase of the engine assembly and a phase of an encoder 40, having a prescribed phase difference to the facility phase. The prescribed phase difference is computed on the basis of each detected phases. On the basis of a phase of the encoder 40 and the phase of any engine assembly 1, when imbalance of the engine assembly 1 are measured, a first phase difference, the phase difference between the encoder 40 and the engine assembly 1, is computed. On the basis of the phase difference between the first phase difference and the prescribed phase difference, a second phase difference, the phase difference between the phase of the facility and the phase of the engine assembly 1, is computed. Imbalances of the engine assembly 1, measured with the phase of the facility as the reference are converted into imbalance with reference to the phase of the engine assembly 1 through the use of the second phase difference.
