METHOD OF DETECTING VARIATION AND KIT TO BE USED THEREIN

<p>It is intended to provide a method of detecting a variation by using Tm analysis which has an excellent detection sensitivity. To a sample containing a target DNA having a variation at the detection site and a non-target DNA having no variation at the detection site, a probe for detection comprising a polynucleotide being complementary to the target sequence having the variation at the detection site as described above and a polynucleotide for inhibition being complementary to the non-target sequence having no variation at the detection site as described above are added and the probe for detection is hybridized with the above-described DNAs. Next, the hybrids of the DNAs with the probe for detection as described above are heated and signal changes caused by the increase in temperature are measured. By determining the Tm value based on the analysis of the signal changes, the presence or absence of the variation is determined.</p>
