Shoe comprises an integrated electronic step counter (2) connected to pressure sensors (1) which are arranged in the heel or sole of the shoe. The sensors record the changing pressure of the load of the person from heel to sole and converts the pressure into an electrical signal which is processed by the electronic system of the step counter to display on a display unit. An independent claim is also included for a diagnostic device integrated into the above shoe. Preferred Features: The step counter is a diagnostic unit (2b) formed as a hand device or wristwatch. The signal is transferred to the electronic system of the step counter via an emitter and receiver (6).
