The method involves curing strands from small parts and solidified by a heated drying channel and transported and arranged in a press (1). A saw (3) is provided which cuts the parts into pieces. Walls of the press has a heating channel with water contained in them evaporating. A continuous vapor pressure and the heat energy from the walls of the heating channel (2) is introduced (7) and accelerated in the strand (10). An independent claim is included for a device for cutting strands after a strand press.
