A self-standing type portable terminal is provided to enable a user to watch a moving picture comfortably by implementing a self-standing function. A self-standing type portable terminal(10) comprises the first housing(100), the second housing(200), a cradling unit(300). The first housing(100) includes the first user interfacing unit. The second housing(200) includes the second user interfacing unit. The second housing(200) rotates round a hinge axis(A), inclined on the basis of the vertical direction of the upper surface of the first housing(100), as a center. The upper side and lower side of the second housing(200) are reversed according to the rotation of the second housing(200), regardless of the opening or closing of the first housing(100). The cradling unit(300) has one or more slopes(310), and slopingly cradles the first housing(100) at the second housing(200).
