<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED device which facilitates color tone adjustment of a luminescent color, is inexpensive and high in color rendering property, and has a wide color reproduction range when incorporated as a light source in a surface lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: The LED device 1 airtightly sealed with resin has a blue LED element 3 and a red LED element 4 airtightly sealed with resin 7, and is packaged together with an LED element having a fluorescence portion 5 and dexcited with light from the blue LED element to emit light.
