PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dispersion of water content of an organic fiber cord by allowing short-term drying of the organic fiber cord to which a dip liquid is attached and controlling the water content of the dried organic fiber cord so as to have a target range. SOLUTION: An organic fiber cord 50 to which a dip liquid 12 is attached is passed through a space between a pair of microwave irradiation devices 31B and 31C of a dryer 31 and irradiated with microwave to dry the organic fiber cord 50. Water content of the dried organic fiber cord 50 is measured with a noncontact moisture meter 32 and input to a controller 40. The controller 40 compares measured value of moisture content with a predetermined target value and output of microwave is changed by increasing or decreasing output of microwave according to the difference of each value based on the compared result to carry out feedback control. As a result, water content of the dried organic fiber cord 50 is controlled so as to have a target range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
