PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating the surface of an electrically conductive film and a method of assembling a magnetic disk device which freely adjust the surface resistance of the electrically conducting coating film on an assembling process site. SOLUTION: The resistance of an electrically conductive film 4 is increased by applying ultrasonic waves 5 to the electrically conductive film 4 in the state of being dipped in a treating liquid 2 containing fine particles 3.
