PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP capable of efficiently reducing reactive power and cross talk and having a display characteristic without being significantly affected by mis-alignment. SOLUTION: Fragments 41 and 42 are formed in a position in a display electrode 12 crossing a main barrier rib 241. In the respective fragments 41 and 42, the opening width of each of the fragment 41 and 42 is set larger than the width of the main barrier rib 241, the width is gradually reduced toward its depth direction to be set smaller at the bottom of each of the fragments 41 and 42 than the width of the main barrier rib 241. That is, the inner edge inclined portions 41a and 41b of the fragment 41 are inclined so as to approach each other in its depth direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
