PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a version management system easily identifying whether the version of a data file used in the system agrees with the present version of the system. SOLUTION: The version management system 1 for managing the version of the system wherein the data file size of the data file is fixed by the version of the system, comprises an identifying section 32 for identifying the version of the data file based on the data file size of the data file.
