PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry an erecting coin on a pay-out belt while the coin is laid reliably even when the coin cannot be carried since the coin does not contact with the pay-out belt while the coin erects. SOLUTION: The coin payment device 1 is provided with: a coin housing part 14 which is provided with a width nearly equal to the diameter of the coin to house coins; a separation roller 18 which is arranged at the exit part of the coin housing part to separate the coins to be each coin; the pay-out belt 15 which is provided with a width smaller than that of the coin housing part to carry the coins housed in the coin housing part toward the separation roller arranged position; a motor M which drives the pay-out belt in a forward rotation direction for carrying the coins in the coin housing part toward the separation roller and in a backward rotation direction which is reverse to the forward rotation direction; and a means for counting the number of the coins housed in the coin housing part; and a control part 30 which controls the motor M and drives the motor M in the backward rotation direction when the number of the coins housed in the coin housing part 14 becomes ten.
