PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of preventing skew of recording media even when two paper feeding rollers are arranged in the direction approximately orthogonal to the feeding direction of the recording media leaving a gap. SOLUTION: The paper feeding device has the paper feeding rollers 6b1, 6b2 which are rotatably supported by the other end of an arm member 6a having swingably supported one end and contact and feed a recording medium P on a paper feeding tray 3. The two paper feeding rollers 6b1, 6b2 are arranged in the direction approximately orthogonal to the feeding direction of the recording medium P leaving a gap. A rotation regulating member 58 having a contact part 58c energized and made contact with the recording medium P on a centerline C passing through the approximately middle of the two paper feeding rollers 6b1, 6b2 and in the position separated from the two paper feeding rollers 6b1, 6b2 is provided. A friction coefficient of the contact part 58c with respect to the recording medium P is set large in the direction approximately orthogonal to the feeding direction of the recording medium P and small in the feeding direction of the recording medium P.
