PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compact an injection molding apparatus having a simple structure, easily move a spacer block between a non-operating position and an operating position, and smoothly lift the spacer block with a piston without any trouble. SOLUTION: A moving device 80 which moves the spacer block 34 which affects a mold clamping force by the piston 26 of the mold clamping cylinder of the injection molding apparatus to a movable plate between the operating position on the piston 26 and the non-operating position is equipped with a guide rail 82, a moving motor 94 which is mounted to the spacer block 34 and moves it in the horizontal direction, a pinion gear 98 which is provided on the spacer block 34 and rotatably provided around the vertical axis center, and rotated by the moving motor 94, and a rack gear 100 which is continuously provided along the moving direction of the spacer block 34 and meshed with the pinion gear 98.
