<p>A seat slide device having a bearing for a handle, in which a lock mechanism releasing handle is more easily assembled to upper rails, occurrence of noise in handle operation is prevented, and a dimensional error in production between the handle and the upper rails is absorbed to assure proper operation of the seat slide device. The seat slide device has the handle (12) and a bearing member (26). The handle is supported in holding holes formed in a pair of the upper rails and pivots a radial projection, which unlocks a lock mechanism, when the handle is pivoted. The bearing member (26) has an outer edge section (40) placed between the upper rails and the radial projection formed on the handle, a holding section (30) placed between the upper rails and an outer peripheral section of the handle, and a cushioning section (38) for allowing axial movement of the handle. The bearing member (26) is placed in the holding holes and supports the handle.</p> |
