A split rim 10 carrying a tubeless tyre T and comprising a detachable flange 12 retained on the rim base 13 by a split locking-ring 17, is rendered air-tight by a sealing ring 20, separate from the tyre and of deformable material such as soft rubber or plastic, which lies in contact with the tyre bead T<SP>2</SP>, the detachable flange 12 and the base 13. As shown, the ring 20 is of L-section to fit in the corner formed by the detachable flange 12 and rim base 13 and to lie under the tyre bead T<SP>2</SP>. The ring may alternatively be of circular, triangular or other suitable section.
