<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for detecting abnormality by which the abnormality can accurately be detected even when an operation sound generated in the case of operating the equipment provided with a movable part is changed with the lapse of time. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting abnormality comprises: a microphone 10 which obtains the operation sound of the equipment as a sound signal; a frequency analysis part 20 which calculates a time-series frequency spectrum from the sound signal; and an abnormality detection part 21 which determines the equipment to be normal when the time-series frequency spectrum satisfies a criteria which varies depending on a passing time from a prescribed time and which determines the equipment to be abnormal when the time-series frequency spectrum does not satisfy the criteria. Moreover, the apparatus can comprise: an abnormality occurrence section estimation part 22 which estimates an abnormality occurrence section based on the mean frequency etc. of the time-series frequency spectrums; a camera 12 for photographing the equipment; a movement information calculation part 23 which detects position information of the abnormality occurrence section from the photographed image of the equipment; and an abnormality cause estimation part 24 which estimates the cause of the abnormality based on the position information etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
