<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post branching optical joint box adaptable to a variety of cables by clamping any branch cables regardless of the types. <P>SOLUTION: The post branching optical joint box is equipped with a main cable clamping part, a branch cable clamping part, a transient coated optical fiber housing tray, and a branching coated optical fiber housing tray. The branch cable clamping part 30 is structured such that a metallic sheet-made base fixture 32 is fixed to the bottom plate 13 of the optical joint box 2 body, the base fixture 32 having side by side a plurality of projected pieces 32a bulged at the tip end and constricted at the root and that, with a branch cable 9 placed on the projected piece 32a of the base fixture 32, the branch cable 9 is fixedly bound with a binding band 33 to the constricted part 32b of the projected piece 32a.
