MODIFIED HEAT-RESISTANT RecA PROTEIN AND METHOD FOR AMPLIFYING NUCLEIC ACID BY USING THE PROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-precision nucleic acid amplification more specifically and efficiently amplifying exclusively a desired nucleic acid while suppressing the non-specific amplification and establish a technique of specifically amplifying a target nucleic acid at a low cost.

SOLUTION: The modified heat-resistant RecA protein is prepared by deleting or substituting at least one amino acid in an amino acid sequence constituting the acidic region at the C-terminal side of a wild-type heat-resistant RecA protein. The modified protein has improved potency contributing to the amplification efficiency of a template nucleic acid in a nucleic acid amplification reaction system compared with a wild-type heat-resistant RecA protein.
