<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to perform a proper splicing supply operation by allowing the operator to confirm that he has read a serial number and a component type of a supply reel of a new storage tape to be joined when performing a splicing supply operation. <P>SOLUTION: When performing a splicing supply operation, the operator reads the serial number and the type of an electronic component, each consisting of a bar code, which are described on a label attached to the supply reel of the new storage tape C, using a bar code reader. By reading the serial number and the type of an electronic component this way, the predetermined number of serial numbers going back from the newest serial number are sequentially stored for each arrangement number of individual component supply units arranged side by side on a feeder base. The CPU compares the read content and the predetermined number of the newest serial numbers stored for each arrangement number. When the serial number which has been read by the bar code reader is identical with one of the serial numbers stored for each arrangement number, the CPU makes a monitor display the abnormal status of the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
