<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical aligned liquid crystal panel with which high display quality is materialized by improving a white balance, a contrast ratio and so on. <P>SOLUTION: In pixels 81 constructing pixels of yellow green (YG) and those of emerald green (EG), light shielding films 242, 244 overlap with alignment protrusions 230, 232 in plan view, and alignment protrusions 230, 232 forming regions are included in light shielding films 242, 244 forming regions. Pixels 80 constructing pixels of red (R) and those of blue (B) do not have the light shielding films 242, 244. A shape of a holding capacitor 170 in plan view is optionally formed in such a way that an alignment protrusion 230 forming region is included in a holding capacitor 170 forming region and a profile of the holding capacitor 170 is brought into line with the alignment protrusion 230. A portion of a pixel electrode 138 is optionally light shielded by reducing an area of an opening of a light shielding film 240 with respect to the pixel 81 rather than with respect to the pixel 80 and so on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
