PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing system capable of appropriately and effectively performing edge emphasis processing. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a signal processing system comprising: a noise calculation unit 26 and a ROM 27 for parameters for calculating a noise quantity for each region of an image relating to a video signal imaged by a CCD 2 and digitized by a preprocessing unit 3; an edge extraction unit 6 for extracting an edge component of the image relating to the video signal; a correction coefficient calculation unit 7 which calculates a correction coefficient for correcting the edge component based on the noise quantity and the edge component; and an edge emphasis unit 8 for performing edge emphasis processing on the video signal based on the edge component and the correction coefficient.
