PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress reflected waves generated after the completion of transmitting a frame from a node to a branch line in a communication system using a differential two-wire type communication line. SOLUTION: In the communication system in which a communication line constituting a network is a differential two-wire type communication line comprising a first communication line 10 and a second communication line 11 and includes a trunk and a plurality of branch lines 30 to 33 respectively branched from the trunk, and nodes 100 to 103 are connected to the respective branch lines 30 to 33, the respective nodes 100 to 103 include means 53 to 59, S1 and S2 for respectively reducing impedance of the communication line 10 and the second communication line 11 constituting the branch lines to which the nodes are connected only during fixed time from a point of time when the nodes complete frame transmission. Therefore, reflected waves generated in the branch lines just after the nodes transmit frames are surely suppressed, so that erroneous reception of a receiving node can be surely prevented.
