The inventive analytical head for detecting microimpurities of substances in gases is provided with a flowing channel comprising, arranged in series, an ionisation chamber consisting of an input sleeve for supplying an analysable gas and an ionisation source introduced therein, a device for separating ions according to the mobility thereof embodied in the form of a drift space which is formed by central potential and external grounded electrodes which are coaxially disposed and connected to direct compensating and alternating asymmetrical voltage sources and to an ion collection system, wherein the ionisation source is embodied in the form of a discharge electrode, the ionisation chamber is combined with the input part of the drift space and is formed by the input sleeve, the discharge electrode introduced thereinto and the central electrode, the discharge electrode is arranged on the input end of the central electrode along the axis thereof and is electrically connected thereto or introduced into the input sleeve through a wall and an insulator at an angle to the internal surface of the input sleeve. Said invention makes it possible to increase the sensitivity of detection of substance impurities in gases.
