The sensor device useful in clinical diagnostics for the continuous and semi-continuous measurement of substances in blood or interstitial liquid, comprises a polycarbonate foil with a flow cell (1) arranged parallelly to a planar structured sensor so that an inlet- and an outlet opening are formed with the sensor surface, and a double-sided adhesive tape or an adhesive film for interlocking the flow cell and the sensor. The flow cell has channels and surfaces on the structuring surface, which is turned to the sensor. The inlet- and outlet opening lie oppositely in a plane. Connection channels (6a, 6b), which are formed as elliptical semi-circles and arranged symmetrically, are connected over two branching. The connection channels limit an internal elliptical surface (7a), which is arranged opposite to a sensitive surface of the sensor so that it lies higher than the connection channels and forms a capillary opening with the sensitive surface. The capillary opening has a width of 0.05-0.2 mm. The ratio between x and y-expansion of the elliptical surface is 0.1-0.9. The inlet- and outlet opening are designed as open channels (5a, 5b) in equal size, on which the connection channels exit. The connection channels have rectangular cross sections with a depth and width of 0.1 mm. The elliptical surface is deepened with respect to an external surface (7b) surrounding the connection channels and is formed in even or convex form. The sensor and flow cell are material-connected by an ultrasonic welding surface in irreversible and fluid-tight manner. The adhesive tape or film connects the flow cell with the sensor in irreversible and fluid-tight manner, and has a thickness of 0.02-0.1 mm. The sensitive surface of the sensor is an electro-chemical electrode arrangement, an optical reflection- or transmitted layer or optical- or mass-sensitive layer, if necessary immobilized with a chemically or biologically analyte detection component.
|
