An apparatus for removing contaminants from the surface of a backing roll using absorption fabric is provided to prevent damage of the backing roll in removing contaminants by manufacturing absorption fabric with smooth material. An apparatus for removing contaminants from the surface of a backing roll using absorption fabric comprises a base frame(10), a base frame moving part, a cleaner, and a cleaner moving part. The base frame is placed with a backing roll in a line to be moved to the backing roll forward and backward. The base frame moving part moves the base frame to the backing roll forward and backward. The cleaner, which is installed at the base frame to be moved along the backing roll, consists of rotation reels(43,44) rotatably installed, a driving motor rotating one of the rotation reels, and an absorption fabric(42). The absorption fabric removes organic solution attached to the backing roll to be untied by the rotation reels. The cleaner moving part moves the cleaner along the backing roll.
