<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of low cost having display quality of high luminance without degradation in transmittance. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises: gate wiring GL applying a scanning signal by forming a gate electrode GT of a thin-film transistor on a first substrate SUB1; a gate insulating film GI deposited to cover the gate wiring; a semiconductor layer nS/S constituting an active layer of the thin-film transistor by being formed in an island form on the gate insulating layer; a source electrode SD1 and drain electrode SD2 discretely formed on the gate insulating film GI and on the semiconductor layer; and a pixel electrode PX connected to the drain electrode SD2. The gate wiring GL and the gate electrode GT, the source electrode SD1 and the drain electrode SD2, the pixel electrode PX are formed by baking of an ink jet coated conductive solution within a region enclosed by banks G-BNK, SD-BNK, P-BNK of insulating films. All of these banks are arranged only within the region concealed by a light shielding film BM provided in the second substrate SUB2 and are not provided in the display region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
