<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and correctly determine whether the respective adjacent drawing points in a graph display device for graphing and displaying a function expression are continuous or discontinuous, and to draw and display a correct graph. <P>SOLUTION: Even when an input function expression "y=f(x)" is, for example, a function expression [y=tan(x)] of a hyperbolic function and its y coordinate value discontinuously changes between plus infinity and minus infinity, possibility of being the discontinuous graph is judged by formula translation (S4) ((A) in a Fig.6), its continuous parts are drawn at high speed by numeric processing (A1 to A7) ((B) in Fig.6), the interval between the respective drawings of discontinuous parts is correctly judged by the formula translation ((C) to (E) in the Fig.6), drawn and displayed as a correct discontinuous graph ((F) in the Fig.6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
