PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera having both blurring correcting function and look-up photographing function though the camera has a simple structure. SOLUTION: An imaging device driving mechanism moves an imaging element for the portion of a look-up amount (d) which is set in S210 or S208 (S211). When a user fully presses a release button which is pressed halfway, determination in S217 becomes YES. Consequently, processing is progressed from S217 to S218, an exposure time is set in a timer in response to a set exposure time indicated by a photographing condition which is set in S213, and then clocking is started in the timer (S233). It is determined whether the blurring correcting photographing mode is set (S219). When the mode is set, the amounts of blurring are detected in the vertical and horizontal directions of the digital camera (S220). Accordingly, the imaging device driving mechanism drives the imaging element vertically and horizontally with a look-up position as a center in response to the detected blurring amounts (S221).
