PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner simplified in the structure of an air filter cleaning device, reduced in size, and inexpensive. SOLUTION: This indoor unit of an air conditioner includes: a cleaning unit disposed to move on the surface of an air filter; and an exhaust unit suitably communicated with the cleaning unit and adapted to discharge dust collected in the cleaning unit to the outside of the unit. The cleaning unit is provided with a dust removing part including a dust removing member for the air filter and a dust storing part. The exhaust unit is provided with an exhaust duct which connects an exhaust fan to the dust storing part when it is communicated with the cleaning unit, and discharges the dust collected in the dust storing part together with air blown off from the exhaust fan to the outside of the unit.
