PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a portable terminal, in which a metallic mesh is arranged on the front face of a microphone in order to reduce noise, to reduce the noise and improve water resistance simultaneously. SOLUTION: A water-repellent mesh 34 or water-repellent non-woven cloth is attached on a metallic mesh 33 attached to the front face of a microphone 50 for reducing a noise for the purpose of the improvement of the water resistance of a noise preventing structure so that it is possible to improve water resistance without deteriorating the shield effects of a noise to be generated in portable telephone equipment 1 itself. Also, the water-repellent mesh 34 or the water-repellent nonwoven cloth is structured in a smaller size that the inner diameter of the opening (the sound hole side of a microphone 30) of a rubber holder 32 holding the microphone 30 so as to be arranged in the opening of the rubber holder 32 so that it is possible to mount the microphone without affecting the thickness of the portable telephone set 1, and to suppress the member costs of the water-repellent mesh 34 or the water-repellent nonwoven cloth.
