PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmitting apparatus whose connection terminals can be unpolarized in a communication system wherein a plurality of information transmitting apparatuses are connected to a communication line by bus. SOLUTION: A receiver 5 detects a start bit, and outputs polarity determination data which are base band signals coded by the AMI method with either positive or negative pole side demodulated and original data it received. Based on these data, a polarity judging portion 15 judges a current connection polarity. When a polarity switch 8 connects the information transmitting apparatus 7 to an information transmission line 1 by switching the connection, so that the polarity it is going to transmit and the polarity of the information transmission line 1 may be the same, it can unpolarize the connection terminals 31 and 32 of the information transmitting apparatus 7 and thereby incorrect wiring can be avoided.
