PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which a PDP device can output a stabilized ramp wave and then PDP display display operation can be stabilized. SOLUTION: The PDP device has a ramp wave output device 100 for outputting a ramp wave to an electrode of a PDP, in a circuit section, and the ramp wave output device 100 has a ramp wave generating circuit 1120, which generates and outputs a first ramp wave (s1) with variable gradient; an impedance converting circuit 120, which inputs the first ramp wave (s1) and performs impedance conversion for outputting the resulting wave as a second ramp wave (s2); and a feedback circuit 130, which inputs the second ramp wave (s2) and feeds it back to an input of the ramp wave generating circuit 110 and outputs the second ramp wave (s2) as a ramp wave (output voltage VO).
