PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath-core conjugate false-twisted polyester yarn having reduced environmental load and giving a woven or knit fabric having luxury feeling, excellent soft feeling, bulky feeling, dry feeling and stretchability and mild luster by weaving or knitting and dyeing. SOLUTION: A false-twisted yarn composed of a sheath-core conjugated polyester filament having a core part made of a polylactic acid and a sheath part made of an aromatic polyester, satisfies the following formulas: CS≥1.5, S<SB>1.5</SB>(%)≥50, and S<SB>1.8</SB>(%)≥20, wherein CS is an average out-of-roundness ratio, S<SB>1.5</SB>(%) is (the number of filaments having an out-of-roundness ratio of≥1.5)/(the total number of filaments)×100, and S<SB>1.8</SB>(%) is (the number of filaments having an out-of-roundness ratio of≥1.8)/(the total number of filaments)×100.
