<p>An apparatus for cultivating soil and sowing seed, comprising: (a) a first frame (A) carrying a row of digging tines (24, 28), adapted in use to be towed by, or attached to the rear of, a tractor, (b) a second frame (B), moveably attached to the first frame (A), carrying a row of seeding tines (14, 16), each of the seeding tines (14, 16) being aligned with one of the tines (24, 28) on the first frame (A) and spaced therefrom in a direction parallel to the direction of forward motion of the apparatus when in use, and comprising depth wheels (32) which in use travel along the surface of the soil, wherein the seeding depth is governed by the position of the depth wheels (32) relative to the second frame (B) and the depth of the digging tines (24, 28) is independently adjustable in relation to the depth of the seeding tines (14, 16).</p> |
