<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator capable of ensuring a good steering feeling by preventing hysteresis from being generated in a vibration isolating action. <P>SOLUTION: The vibration isolator 11 is equipped with an external cylinder member 12, an internal cylinder member 13 which is disposed at the inner peripheral side of the external cylinder member, and has the outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the external cylinder member, a first elastic member 14 which is fitted by insertion between the internal cylinder member and the external cylinder member, adhesively fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the both internal and external cylinder members, and press-fitted to the inner peripheral surface of the external cylinder member, a pair of first and second plate members 15, 16 which are respectively fitted by insertion from the outside in the axial direction to both end parts of the internal cylinder member, and a pair of disc shaped second elastic members 17, 18 which are adhesively fixed to the inner end surface of respective plate members. Slippage between the inner peripheral surface of the external cylinder member and the outer peripheral surface of the first elastic member is eliminated by adhesively fixing the first elastic member with respect to the external cylinder member to prevent the generation of hysteresis between the shearing deforming time and the restoring time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
