PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom sliding mechanism having a simplified structure, without requiring to fasten a sliding pad by a bolt. SOLUTION: An expansion boom 1 is formed by telescopically inserting and fitting a boom 3 into a boom 2. This boom sliding mechanism 10 is composed of the sliding pad 18 installed on an outside surface 5 of the boom 3 and slidingly contacting with an inside surface 4 of the boom 2, an installation member 11 arranged on the outside surface 5 of the boom 3 and determining an installation position of the sliding pad 18, and a spring pin 25 fitted to and inserted into the sliding pad 18 and the installation member 11.
