PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting vibration phase that is capable of easily obtaining information about the vibration of a rotor and easily analyzing subsequent vibration waveforms. SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant incorporates therein a vibration detecting means for detecting information about the vibration displacement of a rotor; a rotation speed detecting means for detecting the rotation speed of the rotor; a signal processing means for optimizing the speed of sampling vibration signals according to the number of revolutions detected by the rotation speed detecting means, and recording the results; an information processing means for determining a tracking waveform by performing a tracking filter process on the vibration signals detected by the vibration detecting means, the process matching the rotation speed and based on the speed of sampling the vibration signals; a phase detecting means for detecting the vibration phase of the rotor from the tracking waveform determined by the information processing means; and a detection result storage means for recording the vibration phase of the rotor detected by the phase detecting means.
