PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of reducing heating of an electric motor and intake refrigerant gas and stabilizing oil level surface in an oil reservoir of the electric motor part. SOLUTION: In the electric compressor having an electric motor part 30 and a compression mechanism part 20 arranged in a vessel 11 and having the compression mechanism part 20 operated by a shaft 40 driven and rotated by the electric motor part, the shaft is rotatably supported by a main bearing part 50 in the compression mechanism part side and a sub bearing part 60 in the electric motor part side, oil is forcibly pumped to each bearing part from a high pressure side, and main bearing side oil passages 51, 43 opening to a suction part are provided on the main bearing part to taking oil from a high pressure side reservoir chamber 29 to the suction part of the compression mechanism part through the main bearing part.
