A fluororesin membrane which is made of a fluororesin and is free from faults such as voids or cracks, characterized by having a membrane thickness of 20µm or below and a Gurley number of 300s or above; a process for the production of the fluororesin membrane, characterized by comprising applying a dispersion of fluororesin powder in a dispersion medium on a smooth foil, drying the dispersion medium, and sintering the fluororesin powder; the above dispersion; a fluororesin composite comprising a porous base and the above fluororesin membrane; a process for production thereof; a porous fluororesin composite obtained by stretching the above composite; and a separation membrane element made by using the porous fluororesin composite.
