<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical element for an alkaline battery which is excellent in leakage resisting characteristics and preservation characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In at least an inside surface of a battery case formed by a nickel plated steel sheet, at least either of (1) an intensity ratio I<SB>Fe/Ni</SB>between an intensity I<SB>Fe</SB>of iron and an intensity I<SB>Ni</SB>of nickel by an EPMA method, and/or (2) an abundance ratio of a part exceeding 1.0 of intensity ratio I<SB>Fe/Ni</SB>between the intensity I<SB>Fe</SB>of iron and the intensity I<SB>Ni</SB>of Ni in the EPMA method is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
