<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting apparatus capable of emitting light at high output by increasing the luminous intensity, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This light-emitting apparatus comprises a package 2 having a recess 1 comprising a bottom face and a side face, a light-emitting device 4 mounted on the bottom face of the recess 1, and a resin layer 9 sealing the light-emitting device 4. The resin layer 9 is formed by dropping a liquid filler containing a resin having flowability and curing it, part of the recess 1 is sealed with the liquid filler, the viscosity of the resin layer 9 is set in the range of 15-55 Pa s, and the thixo value of the resin layer 9 is set in the range of 2.0-4.0 so that the top face of the sealing resin layer 9 becomes a flat horizontal plane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
