PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of making a player more interested in the play without complicating the play while having game properties of a digital pachinko machine and a wing-opening/closing type game machine. SOLUTION: When a game ball enters a starting hole, the variable display in a symbol display device is started. If a first jackpot symbol is displayed, a special game is immediately started. If a second jackpot symbol is displayed, a special winning hole is opened and if the game ball entering the special winning hole passes a specific area, the special game is started. After the special game is terminated, the opening time of the starting hole is extended, and the variable display time of the symbol display device is extended in the period when the opening time is extended. Accordingly, as the time from the entrance of the game ball into the starting hole till the opening of the special winning hole is extended, the player can determine whether the game ball should be made to enter the special winning hole or not during the period.
