PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which allows for external determination of the make and break as well as wear-out condition of a contact. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes a main body 52a supported by a chassis to be freely rotatable, a butting part 52c which extends from the main body 52a and comes in contact with the upper side of a movable contactor 47, an ON/OFF indicator member 52 having an ON indicator 52e and an OFF indicator 52d provided respectively at each position facing a window opening at the top surface of the chassis depending on on/off state of a contact part 6, and a biasing spring 53 for biasing the main body 52a in the direction where the OFF indicator 52d moves to the position facing the window opening. On the upper side of the movable contactor 47 a run-on part 47e is provided which the butting part 52c runs on by moving from its base to the top edge while sliding when a handle 7 is operated from the contact start position of the contact 6 to the on operating position, wherein the main body 52a is rotated to move to the position where the overall ON indicator 52e faces the window opening with the butting part 52c running on the run-on part 47e.
