PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a solid fuel to the depth of a combustion device without vibrating an inclined member and without using another movable member for mechanically carrying the solid fuel in the combustion device. SOLUTION: This combustion device 1 comprising a water cooling-type stoker 40 for carrying the solid fuel R from a solid fuel R charging position 11 at a front part of the combustion device 1 to the depth of the combustion device 1 at a rear part of the combustion device 1 in burning the solid fuel R in the combustion device 1, further comprises an airflow jetting means 50 for blowing off the solid fuel R in the depth direction of the combustion device 1 by the airflow 50a. The airflow jetting means 50 comprises a cylindrical body 55 penetrating through a front side wall 12a of a main body 10 of the combustion device 1, a compressed air supplying source 51 and a nozzle 54, and an outlet 54a of the nozzle 54 is positioned inside of the cylindrical body 55 to jet the compressed air supplied from the compressed air supply source 51 to the inside of the main body 10 in a pulsed state.
