A method for manufacturing a battery using aluminum foil as a casing is provided to obtain batteries having various shapes and showing improved energy density and safety through a simple process. A method for manufacturing a battery using aluminum foil as a casing comprises the steps of: winding or stacking an anode, a cathode and a separator interposed between the anode and the cathode to provide an electrode assembly(1); injecting an electrolyte into the electrode assembly; and sealing the electrode assembly containing the electrolyte, wherein the sealing step is carried out by winding the electrode assembly with aluminum, binding ends of the aluminum foil(4) with a binder polymer(3), and performing hot fusion of a terminal(2) protruded out from either side or both sides of the electrode assembly, the aluminum foil and the binder polymer at the same time at 100-250 deg.C. |
