End seal (E) for a superconductive cable (1) comprises a compression-proof metallic inner container (2) with a first rupture disk (6) in its wall, a metallic outer container (3) with a second rupture disk (7) in its wall at the height of the first disk, and an evacuated rupture space (8) between the two rupture disks containing a superinsulator and sealed by a compression-proof wall (9) from an intermediate space (4) with vacuum insulation.
