<p>A method for sharing a socket and a network equipment for the same are provided to enable a socket, created in a specific task, to be used with other tasks in common by installing middleware which is so designed as that a socket, created in a specific task, can be shared with all the other tasks. A network equipment comprises a socket creation part(220), a socket management part and a universal task. The socket creation part(220), such as an OS kernel, creates a socket which is used for communication of a plurality of tasks(112-116). Based on a socket creation request from one of the tasks(112-116), the socket management part requests the socket creation part(220) to create a socket. If the socket creation part(220) creates a socket, the socket management part creates a virtual socket for the created socket and provides the virtual socket to the task which made the socket creation request. The universal task shares the created socket.</p> |
