<p>Device for frequency response characteristics compensation of acoustical systems, which comprises at least one sound output device 10; a frequency generator 35 for generating a plurality of test signals of different effective test frequencies to be applied to the sound output device 10; an impedance measuring device 20 connected to the sound output device 10 for determining the impedance of the sound output device 10 for each of the plurality of test signals applied to the sound output device 10; and a memory unit 33 for storing frequency response characteristics compensation information for each test frequency, in accordance with the impedance determined for the test signal of each test frequency. Furthermore, a sound processing device 30 for generating acoustical signals to be output to the sound output device 10, based on input signals, which are power-compensated according to their respective frequency components and said compensation information, to thereby compensate for differences in the impedance of said sound output device 10 at different output frequencies. The invention also comprises a method, in which, based on the impedance for test signals, a frequency response characteristics compensation information for each frequency of the test signals is determined; and a frequency response characteristics compensation information for all frequencies is stored into a memory unit; which stored information will be used by a sound processing device for frequency response characteristics compensation of an acoustical system comprising the sound output device.</p> |
