CATALYST FOR REMOVAL OF CARBON MONOXIDE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A catalyst for removing carbon monoxide and a method for producing the same are provided to prevent the deterioration in activity of the catalyst under exhaust gas containing catalyst-poisoning components, by forming the catalyst to contain a group IIIB metal. A catalyst for removing carbon monoxide has a poisoning-resistant property. The catalyst is expressed by a chemical formula of A-X/Y, wherein A, X, and Y represent a group IIIB metal of a transition metal series, a platinum group metal, and a metal oxide carrier, respectively. The carrier is an oxide of at least one selected from a group consisting of alumina, titania, zirconia, magnesia, ceria, silica, tungsten.
