<p>A method for controlling a compressor and an air conditioner applying the same are provided to reduce number of emergency stop of an inverter compressor and a constant speed compressor by solely driving the inverter compressor when frequency of the constant speed compressor and the inverter compressor are controlled forcedly. In a method for controlling a compressor, a constant speed compressor is stopped and an inverter compressor is solely driven when frequency of the constant speed compressor and the inverter compressor are controlled forcedly, while the constant speed compressor is driven and the inverter compressor is driven with minimum frequency. The frequency of the constant speed compressor and the inverter compressor are controlled by comparing to the standard drive frequency according to each of loads.</p> |
